The thermal switch option allows the solar attic fan to be operated either with or without temperature control. When the thermal switch is not installed, attic temperature does not control fan operation. Available on all Attic Breeze models.

► universal mounting bracket (add $38.89)

The adjustable universal mounting bracket option allows you to mount your remote solar panel either on a pole, the side of a wall, or on your roof.  Once mounted, the solar panel can be adjusted to any angle or direction desired. Available only on Attic Breeze models featuring a remote mounted solar panel (AB-2xxD).

Attic Breeze will paint the frame of your remote mounted solar panel to match the color option of your solar attic fan vent housing. Available only on Attic Breeze models AB-202D, AB-252D, AB-204D, and AB-254D.

Choosing the Correct Solar Attic Fan

Attic Breeze offers a cost-effective solution to accommodate all of your attic ventilation requirements.  Available in a variety of models and options, our solar attic fans can be customized to fit your needs.  Before ordering your new Attic Breeze solar attic fan, there are a few things to consider in determining the appropriate attic vent model that best fits your specific situation:

1)  What is the composition of your roof?

If you have a shingled roof, models AB-201, AB-202, AB-251, or AB-252 are appropriate for your roof design.  For tile roofs, metal roofs, or commercial applications, models AB-203, AB-204, AB-253, or AB-254 would be appropriate.

2)  Which direction is the back of your home facing?

If the back of your home is facing either south or west and has good sun exposure throughout the day, we recommend purchasing a model which features an attached solar panel (Model AB-2xxA).  These models are the easiest to install and will operate at optimum performance given the above directional orientation.

If the back of your home faces either north or east, we recommend purchasing a model which features a remote mounted solar panel (Model AB-2xxD).  With these models, the vent unit can still be mounted on the back side of your home, while the solar panel is mounted either on the front of the home or on the side.

3)  Would you like your new solar attic vent painted?

If you would like your solar attic vent painted, we offer several standard colors to choose from in a heavy duty painted finish: black, brown, or dark gray.  You can find this option in models AB-202, AB-204, AB-252, or AB-254.

Our unpainted models AB-201, AB-251, AB-203, and AB-253 can be installed as received (no painting required).  Zincalume alloy is a dull silver-gray metal which does not weather and holds its color indefinitely.  These models look great either unpainted or customized to match your home's outside decor.
